Anchors Up: Charting a New Course

It seems most appropriate to start this blog with a “Welcome back!” As you might have noticed, we’re looking a little different these days. It’s easy to get excited about new logos, fonts, and color schemes, but this relaunching of The Digital Shore has included much more than that. While all of the exteriors might seem new and shiny, it’s only a reflection of all the internal work we’ve been doing here.

My brother and I launched The Digital Shore in 2015, and whenever we launched, we set out with the hope to make as much creative media as possible. We loved videography and graphic design, so we leaned heavily into those skills. We found ourselves quickly partnering with churches, and even found ourselves in the wedding business. It was all exciting, as anyone who has started a business and desperately hoped for clients can attest. We’ve made tiny changes here and there throughout the years, but as we neared the tenth anniversary of our company, we had to evaluate how the world had changed in those ten years. With AI on the rise and different clientele entering our world, it only made sense for us to reevaluate who we are now, what we’ve learned over the past decade, and adjust our course accordingly.

We’ve always believed in the power of good storytelling and a solid online presence; everything we’ve ever produced has been with those two things in mind. Through all of our soul-searching, though, we discovered a new way forward that allows us to do both of those things even better. So, we’re narrowing our focus. We know how crowded the digital world can be; we know how difficult it can be to stand out. So, we want to help small businesses like ourselves thrive in an everchanging digital landscape, and we want to do that by amplifying their story and finding ways to engage online that works for them.

With this renewed vision in place, we’ve simplified our services.

  • Web Design & Development

    • We’ve been creating websites for a while, and we’re going to continue to do it. Why? Because having a space online to showcase your offerings and connect with customers is still needed. Websites are still the core of one’s online presence.

  • Online Presence Management

    • This new service is one we’ve been thinking about for a while, and we believe that it’s a perfect addition for our team. Online presence management is about creating and maintaining a strong, consistent brand identity across all digital platforms. That might begin with your website, but it continues into social media, search engines, google business pages, and beyond.

  • Branding Services

    • In reevaluating our own business, our passion for branding was reignited. It’s easy to distill a brand down to the visual elements we see, but branding is much more than that. It starts with a deep understanding of who you are as a business and what you’re working toward, your audience, and your competitors. In this new service, we walk with you through that process and create a branding packet that will help distill the essence of your business and help guide all of your messaging moving forward.

  • Social Media Video Services

    • With so many of our initial clients being churches, it would seem strange to not honor this part of our business’ history. Social media can be a difficult world to navigate for churches as well as for profit businesses, and these services are designed to help those ministries reach the next generation where they are.

So, we hope you’ll stick around on the new website for a while and investigate these services a little more. We’re excited to debut them! Also, brochures for each service can be found on their respective pages, but if you want to talk with us a little further about any of these services, you can book a consultation call here.

We’re glad to be back, and we’ll be digging further into websites on the blog later this month. So, be sure to stay tuned.
